You may start to notice things looking a little different at Ocelot over the coming weeks. If you follow us on Instagram (@ocelotaccountning) you’ll have seen a few announcements trickling in recently too. There’s a lot going on in the background at HQ that we’re excited to share with you.
● We’ve moved our HQ to a slightly larger office space in Poole to provide some more focus time away from home.
● We’re one step closer to opening an office in Brighton (a long game goal for us – yay!).
These little steps come alongside another major change we’ve been working away at behind the scenes over the last year. We’ve been through a deep rebranding process with our marketing team, in order to reflect our goals for the business and bring our visual identity more in line with who we are and who we work with.
We are stoked to share this new look with you, and to announce that we’ll have a new website to follow! Since you have been a big inspiration in our new brands development, we wanted to share the BTS details with you.
We wanted our brand to 100% match our people and our values.
The more we’ve grown our base of brilliant clients, the more we’ve understood about ourselves and the kind of people we love to work with.
We provide accounting support for content creators turning a hobby or side hustle into a viable business. You could be:
- A Streamer
- An Influencer
- A Model
- A Content creator
And although our clients are all creatives, they often don’t feel like they fit inside the “creative industry” box. A lot of the time that means they don’t get the financial (and emotional) support they need, because regular accountants don’t understand what they do or the specifics of the business.
At Ocelot we want you to be proud of what you do and make money from it. We’re here to defend your creative passion and help you develop it into a business for life.
We do that by a set of really important values:
- Honesty and trustworthiness – We don’t judge who you are or what you do. That’s why our clients feel comfortable being completely transparent and open about everything they do. We can advise best when we really know you.
- Creativity – We value creativity. We get it and we give it back. We’ve adopted a creative approach to business – you get hold of us any way you want to, whenever you want to.
- Safe Space – You want complete discretion and a place to share your full self. We want you to feel comfortable talking to your accountant about the details of what you do. We’re in your corner.
- Family & life orientated – Advising on what is best isn’t just about tax and number crunching, it’s about figuring out what you want in your life. We’re excited to hear about your family and your personal goals.
We realised our visual identity needed to evolve to represent all of this – the creative desires of our clients and our promise to them.
Before and after.
The logo has been simplified with a focus on transparency and openness in everything that we do. Our new Ocelot is a fierce protector – emphasised in the eyes and the mouth. It’s a reminder we’re always in your corner and this is a safe space to be your full self. This logo updates the Ocelot with a fresh, creative, modern look which speaks to the characteristics of our favourite clients.
Don’t worry – nothing about the way we work is changing.
We’re still the same people with the same principles, we’ve just been doing the work to bring it all to the surface. To follow in the footsteps of our favourite clients and show up as our full selves.
All this means is you’ll be seeing our cool new brand on everything. We’ll also be updating our website as a reflection of this new look. If you’re an “outside the box” creator, we hope you’ll see a piece of your identity in ours, and we look forward to hearing your thoughts!

This process encouraged us to think about what we want for the future, and we’re here to help you do the same.
In order to make a decision on our brand, we did a lot of think work with our marketing team. This involved many conversations about our goals, both business and personal, and how we could align our brand with them. This was both challenging and exciting and a great insight into what it’s like for our clients when they’re able to connect their business purpose with their personal ambitions.
Beyond making sure the basics of accounting are covered, we ask: what kind of life do you want? We look at how you can keep more of your hard earned money and invest it back into the life you want to live. We know you want to get VAT right and make sure you’re hitting all the deadlines, but you also have questions like: What do I do with all this spare money now I’ve earned it? Can I buy a house? Can I make this business last forever?
Like our experience, it will be challenging to dig deep, but it will be seriously exciting too. It will mean ensuring your business is providing for your life, not the other way around.
Want to have a chat about working with us or solving a problem? We’d love to hear from you. Drop us a line, no matter how small the question.
